Dear Fellow Fans Of Antique Farm Equipment:

I hope you can make the trip to Rantoul, Illinois for this very fine show. Most importantly, I want you to know how welcome you will be at this show because of the people.

I have had the privilege to meet many wonderful folks who enjoy these vintage machines, and there will be a lot of them in Rantoul. Yes, you will see some great old pieces of equipment and witness some outstanding activities. But as I have always said, this avocation is fun because of the people.

You will find that the setting for this show is outstanding. The old Chanute Air Force Base provides more than enough room for displays and field demonstrations. The “tent city” at Rantoul will allow clubs and vendors to proudly present their displays. And did I mention the people? If you take the time to visit, you will find these folks are as cordial and friendly as the people “back home.”

There will be plenty of space for parking and certainly a great supply of food. You will find good hotel accommodations in the region and easy highway access to the show. Also, you will be just one hour away from the 2007 Farm Progress Show at Decatur, Illinois. It starts two days after the Half Century of Progress ends. And in case I forgot to mention it, you will enjoy these people.

You are invited to bring a tractor. A special welcome will be extended to the “Class Of 1957.” Farm equipment 50-years-old this year will be in the spotlight. Have a great old farm truck from the 1940’s or 1950’s? Bring it to Rantoul! If you own a crawler tractor, we’d like to see it…and like to see you put it to work! That’s right. This is the show where the equipment can be put to the test out in the field, as some of the nicest people in America watch and visit.

Do you get the picture? This is a show about great machines….and the great people who own them, show them, work them and appreciate them. You will find it all here and take home some wonderful memories of the things you saw and the people you met.

We’ll see you in Rantoul!
