Just An Hour (And A Day) From The Farm Progress Show

With its nationwide reputation, many folks will travel considerable distance to attend the Half Century Of Progress. Some will be attending two great shows in Central Illinois that same week. The Farm Progress Show, demonstrating to farmers the newest equipment, will be held in Decatur, Illinois September 1,2,and 3, just after the big show at Rantoul.

Billed as "The Nation's Largest Outdoor Farm Show," the Farm Progress Show features the most extensive state-of-the-art information and technology available for today's agricultural producers. The country's top agribusinesses, plus many local and regional manufacturers and suppliers, are regular exhibitors.

This major agriculture event gives visitors the opportunity to see the latest equipment, seed, crop chemicals, field demonstrations, livestock handling and equine events. Also popular are the Ride 'n Drive opportunities, rural life programs, entertainment, arts and crafts, and more. Farmers and ranchers from around the world visit the Farm Progress Show to see agriculture's latest product introductions and to gain first-hand knowledge, while meeetng face-to-face with agribusiness professionals.

The Farm Progress Show rotates now between Decatur and a site at Boone, Iowa. Like the Half Century Of Progress show site at Rantoul, the Farm Progress Show, in both Illinois and Iowa, offers excellent, long-term weather-resistant facilities. Both of its locations have a highly developed infrastructure of roads, utilities and conveniences.

The Ilinois Farm Progress Show site on the north edge of Decatur, Illinois is just one hour away from the Half Century Of Progress show site at Rantoul. With one day off between the two shows, farmers will be able to rest up and see some local sites in the region around Rantoul and Decatur.
